Lisa McKenzie

I have a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and organizational management from Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. I moved to the Copper Country in 1992 and am married to Dr. Douglas McKenzie. I am active in the Hancock Rotary Club (treasurer), a volunteer leader in 4-H, I teach Scottish Highland Dance, I am the Dance Coordinator for Superior Pipes & Drums. I am also the Secretary for the newly formed Celtic club, The Celtic Quarter (we just acquired the Pewabic House in Hancock). I have 4 children ages 11, 13, 16 and 26, and 2 grandchildren. I’ve been a commissioner/Mayor with the City of Hancock for over 10 years.

Hobbies: I own 3 horses and along with my daughters am an avid rider. I also enjoy cross country skiing, kayaking, hiking the Keweenaw, and spending time at our Bete Grise home. I am also a hockey mom-I love to watch my daughter play the game!
