About Me

Steve Rowe is an avid outdoors person having grown up in the Keweenaw and spent his life exploring the front and backcountry on skis, bicycles, kayaks, and a host of other means. Steve joined State Wide Real Estate of Houghton in the spring of 2017, embarking on his third career. He is a Keweenaw native and graduate of Michigan Tech and the University of Michigan. Returning to the UP to complete medical training in Marquette, he then migrated back to his outdoors paradise, the Keweenaw. After 15 years in emergency medicine, he shifted gears for a 15-year career outdoors, developing alpine and cross country ski trails at Mt. Bohemia, helping launch the Copper Harbor bike trails development, and guiding sea kayak tours on Lake Superior.
